Our Disciplines

K1
K1 blends punches, kicks, and knees into one easy-to-follow discipline. In class, you’ll learn how to combine strikes with good movement and timing, helping you build fitness, confidence, and practical skills from day one. Designed to be action-packed and straightforward to learn, K1 is perfect for anyone who wants to improve their fitness, build confidence, and develops effective stand-up fighting skills for those looking to compete.
Boxing
Boxing is one of the world’s most well-known combat sports, focusing on the art of punches, movement, and defence. Training helps you develop sharper hand-eye coordination, quicker reactions, and better footwork, all while giving you a fantastic workout. Whether you want to step into the ring or simply get fitter and more confident, boxing offers a challenging and rewarding workout for all levels.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, often called BJJ, is a grappling-based martial art that focuses on technique, leverage, and control rather than size or strength. Training in the traditional Gi (kimono) allows students to learn grips, sweeps, throws, and submissions such as chokes and joint locks. It also uses elements of Judo and Wrestling as effective ways to take an opponent to the floor, where much of the action takes place. BJJ builds problem solving skills, discipline, and confidence, making it both an effective form of self-defence and an engaging workout that challenges the body and mind.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Gi)
No-Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a fast-paced style of grappling practiced without the traditional kimono. Instead, students wear rash guards and shorts, focusing on body control, speed, and technique. Without Gi grips, the emphasis shifts to clinches, underhooks, and movement to secure positions, sweeps, and submissions. Wrestling also plays a role in No-Gi, providing effective methods for grappling and takedowns. No-Gi BJJ is dynamic, highly effective for self-defence and MMA, and a fantastic way to build fitness, agility, and confidence.

At Foundry, we believe in first mastering each martial art on its own, and then bringing those skills together in our MMA classes, giving you the strongest possible foundation to grow as a martial artist.
